to complain to my local Dominos?

We ordered pizza from Dominos tonight and we waited a long time for it to arrive (just over an hour). When it did arrive, the delivery man was very polite and apologetic about our wait. However, the pizza turned out to be almost cold and it just wasn't up to the standard of Domino's pizzas that we have had before. It was a bit..... dry I suppose and a bit burnt.

Normally I would just let it go - we made the best of it and ate it anyway, but it was really expensive and I'm annoyed that it wasn't even properly warm. I hate complaining (especially since the delivery man was so nice) and I wouldn't be shouting at the person, but I am a bit afraid that if I complain they will spit in my pizza or something if I order from them again! Should I complain?

Yes

Auntiestablishment · 25/11/2011 00:09

I wouldn't bother, I'd just get my pizzas from somewhere that could deliver nice, warm ones instead.

Complaining after eating it is ..... Hmm

WorraLiberty · 25/11/2011 00:12

Too late to complain after you've eaten it...they needed the chance to put things right but obviously you didn't give it to them (understandably cos you were hungry)

If I were to mention it, I'd say it on the phone the next time I ordered.

And no, I'm sure they won't spit in it.

katkouta · 25/11/2011 00:12

I would, Dominos are bloody expensive!

Alouette · 25/11/2011 00:14

You should have done it before you ate it. Dominos are very good for sorting out mistakes, they were 20 minutes late once and when I complained they gave me a free large pizza and a bottle of drink on my next order

cakeismysaviour · 25/11/2011 00:16

Damn, I knew I should have complained at the time but we had waited ages, were very hungry and the delivery man had been so polite!

It was really expensive though, and tbh thats mainly why I am considering complaining.

If you c

WorraLiberty · 25/11/2011 00:18

They are expensive you're right

Not quite as expensive as Pizza Hut though and they're the only ones I'll eat!

Will you use them again if they're normally ok?

If so, I'd mention it the next time you order and hopefully they'll make you a priority rather than lose you as a customer.

TunaTiebacks · 25/11/2011 00:19

Order online, any pizza any size £9.95 delivered! (round here anyway) Not got much for complaints in the last, just free garlic bread usually, but worth a go!

perplexedpirate · 25/11/2011 00:19

Wtf, phone??? As I was saying, if you complain to dominos they are very good at giving you free desserts and money offs. I blame at least half a stone on this knowledge.

LikeACandleButNotQuite · 25/11/2011 00:22

YABU for paying full price, there's always leaflets being shoved through doors with offers on.

YAalsoBU for complaining after eating it. Give them a chance to fix the problem.

cakeismysaviour · 25/11/2011 00:23

Pizza Hut is my favourite too, but we don't have one that delivers. :( I would have liked to use them again, since our choice is limited here and they are normally worth the extra spend!

There is always chinese I suppose....
