When you post about one thing, then add in something that could be counted as boasting. :o

scuzy · 24/11/2011 13:22

Is it right that children should do 30 hours homework???!!!!

(A few posts later)

.... Because mine's been assessed as gifted and talented and is being given extra work

(A few posts later)

.... And they've been told they've got to practice their cello for 30 hours this week so that they can perform a solo in front of the Queen in a private audience at Sandringham on Friday.

etc

it's usually when someone have a bit of a moan or a "query" about something, simply so that they can boast about it.

ie, AIBU to think that my nanny, gardener and housekeeper should have got me a christmas present.,

they will then swear blind that the thread is, in fact, about how hurt they are at lack of present and is NOTHING to do with wanting the world to know they have staff,

saythatagain · 24/11/2011 13:25

I'll give you an example:

Please feel sorry for me, I'm so overweight, I can't fit into any of my size 4 jeans. What should I do? Thanks for all your help. Lots of luv 'n' hugs....

..that kind of shit...!!! Grin

valiumredhead · 24/11/2011 13:25

Is it indirect boasting?

scuzy · 24/11/2011 13:26
