The postwoman just posted a letter through my door... With no stamp or postmark or anything! Just a letter with my address on it with 1st Class written in the corner in felt tip pen?

Wibu to try this with all of my outgoing mail?

ooh how strange
Who's it from?

ObiWanWithBellsOn · 23/11/2011 16:11

Maybe it's from Father Christmas.

SarahStratton · 23/11/2011 16:11
Hmm

Cost me £20 to post 3 lots of paperwork off this morning. Are you telling me I could have just written 'track this and deliver tomorrow' in the corner.

Kayano · 23/11/2011 16:12

The hospital funnily enough!

Declaring I missed an appointment on 29th Nov 2011!

How
The fuck did I miss it?!?!

I even rang up to query this psychic letter and the receptionist tried to tell me I must have indeed missed this appointment.

headdesk strangest letter of my life

it probably slipped through the checks, because I have had to pay the statutory one pound plus the cost of the stamp in the past when nobody put a stamp on.

WilsonFrickett · 23/11/2011 16:14

That's a bit weird. You got a letter to say you've missed an appointment in 6 days, with no postage.

WilsonFrickett · 23/11/2011 16:14

6 days from now

StealthPolarBear · 23/11/2011 16:15

you have to miss it now. If you do turn up their computers will explode

WhyAlwaysFuckingMe · 23/11/2011 16:16

good tip. Thats how I will post my ebay from now on.

StealthPolarBear · 23/11/2011 16:16

did the recxeption eventually accept that this appointment you had cavalierly and with no concern to other patients failed to attend was IN THE FUTURE? Or did he/she have no concept of dates

I was like 'how can I have missed a 29th nov 2011 appointment when it is not, nor has ever been 29th November 2011?'

At which point she gasped, conceded the point, actually checked something ad then told me the doctor was on his jollydays SadAngry

ah so you did get a resolution then, good. Hope it gets rearranged very soon

bruffin · 23/11/2011 22:25

Suspect the handwritten 1st class was an instruction to post room to frank with first class stamp.
The post office will send the hospital a huge bill for not franking the letter
