To Ask If Anyone Knows Much About iTunes?

I've just had to reinstall iTunes and delete my previous library. Does anyone know if there's a way to download previous purchases again, please? I can see my previous purchases, but can't find the link to redownload... Grr...

I can't really help except to say that their helpline was very useful. I e-mailed them about a problem I was having with accessing a voucher and received a step by step guide of how to sort it all out.

Their response came within 24 hours.

I've had itunes nightmares like this a couple of times and the only solution I could find was to get in touch with apple via the website and get them to make them purchases available for download again, that was really quite straightforward and they were very helpful.

Generally though, its an effing pain in the arse as its very easy to delete the library (as you've found) People keep telling me I should buy mp3s elsewhere, but buying on itunes is just so convenient.

Vivi, it's a lot easier, as you think "ooooh, I don't have to go through the nuisance that is transferring from downloads, etc; it's just there..." I usually go elsewhere, but these were only available on iTunes... Complete nuisance...

Yes I just had this when I downloaded IO5 onto my iphone. I just kept resyncing and eventually got them all. It took several attempts. I also contacted the help team who told me to do some guff that looked really complicated but I'd already fixed it by then (if you ignore the fact that all of my music has the wrong albumn cover linked to the tracks ).

Are you downloading to iphone/ipod or just to your iTunes account?

At the moment, just trying to download to iTunes. Apparently, my previous libraries "don't exist"... I was able to transfer the songs I'd transferred to my iPod, but that's only a third of his discography.... I had the entire thing.... You'd think they'd make it easier...

Oh wait, I've done something, and it's importing a lot of songs... Although, waiting to see if the artist in question is in there...

In that case they should all be in purchased under STORE on the left.

It won't let me check anything atm... Importing 460 of 900 (ish) That number keeps increasing; should be a few thousand... I might be waiting a while... :(

oh no. Worst case scenario... you have to go and individually download them You won't have to buy them again but it's still a pita.
