To send last year's Christmas cards?

Just looked through my card box and found cards I wrote last year for several friends and forgot to deliver. There is only one whose family composition has changed so I'll bin that one, but AIBU to give the others this year?

Course not - how are they to know?

ChasingSquirrels · 20/11/2011 22:42

well unless they say "best wishes for 2011" I can't see why it would even cross your mind to think that it wasn't ok.

EricNorthmansMistress · 20/11/2011 22:46

I don't know! It just seems cheap! But I am a right penny pincher in other ways Confused

well mine cost 11p for 30 in the January sales - can't get much cheaper that that!

ColourMeWithChaos · 20/11/2011 22:47

It is not cheap - it is environmentally friendly Wink

IneedAbetterNickname · 20/11/2011 22:55

Agree, it's not cheap, but eco-friendly! I was going to do the same a couple of years ago, then realised they all had my XPs name in!

giraffesCantDookForApples · 20/11/2011 23:02

fine

FredFredGeorge · 21/11/2011 06:52

YABU to give Christmas cards at all, horrible wasteful tat. Why not just keep them again until next year, and do the same with everyone elses, they should be able to stay in a draw for quite a few years - perhaps you should just send to individuals though rather than families at they won't become inappropriate then.

gamerwidow · 21/11/2011 07:09

Nope it's fine. It's not like you're reusing cards someone has sent you with the name crossed out.
I'm not sending Christmas cards at all this year much to my mum's horror :)

plupervert · 21/11/2011 07:10

Hahaha, clever you!

peggyblackett · 21/11/2011 07:11

YANBU. Save money and trees.

EricNorthmansMistress · 21/11/2011 07:43

These are not tat, they are lovely expensive charity cards. Maybe that's why I'm hesitant? I have bought a new pack from Mind this year though.

I think most of us go to the shops straight after Christmas looking for just Crhistmas cards and Christmas wrapping paper for the following Christmas. They are at more realistic prices!

BaronessOrczy · 21/11/2011 08:01

Use them up. I bought mine in the sales in January.

And I'm cutting right down on the number of cards we send. People at work / acquaintances / randoms can have an e-card!
