Had a rare night out together last night - home about 1am, not into bed til about 2. I was up with DD2 at 4, DP up with her at 5, I finally got up with her and DD1 at ten to 6. As well as that we had babysitters dog in with us - so pretty much no sleep. DP is still in bed. Can I go and shove him out so I can get some sleep??

You could do. He's on his second lot of 3 hrs if I calculate correctly where you had two lots of 2 hrs... Extra Brownie points the longer you hang on IMO. This is why you need a babysitter for the morning after too!

We do have a babysitter here - she's in with the kids watching DVDs - but she's never had the kids before and I would feel guilty leaving her with them this am.

Leave the kids with the babysitter and both sleep - you're right upstairs if she needs you. Then give her a big tip when she leaves!!

Just go back to bed. Leave the guilt out! Both of you sleep!

What on earth are you paying the babysitter for, if its not to look after the kids?! If you feel 'guilty' allowing her to carry on looking after the kids, then sure, get up yourself, but YABVU to make that decision on your husbands behalf

We weren't paying the babysitter - our neice offered. Anyway - I went up at about 8.20, DP was awake, so I'm just up (and not feeling 100% yet!)
