To be cross at DP for not reporting an assault?

Christiola · 16/11/2011 21:39

Today at work DP was kicked in the groin by a female colleague for having blonde eyebrows. He's refusing to report the incident saying he doesn't want to make a fuss, lose friendship, she was just playing, people will turn against him etc etc but I really think he should report her. He's still in a lot of pain and recently had a hernia operation which makes it even worse.

AIBU to feel quite cross at him over this? I know my first feeling should be sympathy but he's so soft it frustrates me so much :(

Sorry, that doesn't sound like a reason to kick someone - there has to be more than this.

CalmaLlamaDown · 16/11/2011 21:54

Is that really the whole story? Blond eyebrows?

Christiola · 16/11/2011 21:59

no that was it apparantly. He was giggling because she'd been picked out for a presentation (everyone was giggling) but she kicked him because of his eyebrows.

Sorry what exactly did he say?

Kayano · 16/11/2011 22:01

What the actual fuck?

Blonde eyebrows my arse. I can't fathom this at all

LoveBeingAFirework · 16/11/2011 22:01

So it was in front of a load if people?

Mooja · 16/11/2011 22:01

How very odd.

YANBU to want him to report it, but really it's up to him. Maybe he doesn't want to report it because that is not actually what happened.

BadRoly · 16/11/2011 22:03

Have I read thus right?

MenopausalHaze · 16/11/2011 22:03

OP - are you taking the piss? Insulting the collective intelligence of MN? I suggest you find out what the real story is here and then come back. Right now you just look like a shit-stirring loon.

HTH

grovel · 16/11/2011 22:03

Nah.

Christiola · 16/11/2011 22:04

this is what he told me, why on earth would he lie?? Hmm

OP posts:
Oakmaiden · 16/11/2011 22:06

Why on earth would someone care what colour his eyebrows are?

MenopausalHaze · 16/11/2011 22:07

Well they wouldn't would they oakmaiden - it's just too unbelievable for words.

MilkNoSugarPlease · 16/11/2011 22:08

Actually, I can see why this could be true...mum at school has strawberry blonde eyelashes...I often want to kick her in the crotch Hmm Hmm

Christiola · 16/11/2011 22:08

You don't know the wierdos he works with

OP posts:
Kayano · 16/11/2011 22:08

Maybe he got kicked for inappropriate behaviour that he embarrassed to own up to ? Wink

I can think of 100 potential reasons and blonde eyebrows do not feature in any of them?

MumblingAndBloodyRagDoll · 16/11/2011 22:09

Was it your DP who had his glasses stolen the other night?
