I was having a bath with my ds today (13mth) and left the tap running because he really likes putting his hands in the water and playing etc.
When I got him out I noticed his body was really red/pink where it had been in the water. He didn't seem uphappy when in the bath but was standing up a lot. I gave him a drink of water (didn't drink much) and then put him in his grobag and to bed. He didn't seem unhappy or upset but his cheeks a bit flushed and his lower body pink. He seems to be sleeping ok now. I am really worried though - has this happened to anyone else - was the dc ok? - should I wake him and go to A&E (though he seems fine??)

My 2 are often pink after a bath, they are like me and like it hot :)

btw I meant to say I obviously didn't realise the bath was too hot till afterwards - it seemed fine at the time. :(

They are 7 and 5 now, but have been turning pink from the bath since they were about 1

Unless he has some kind of condition that means he doesn't feel pain he's fine. I'm guessing what you were seeing was just where his blood vessels have dilated because he'd been in a warm bath.

If the water had been too hot he'd have let you know in no uncertain terms.
