Dc1 has friend coming for tea. Dc2 has temperature and is full of green (!). Is it okay to reschedule even though not his friend that's coming?

Of course it is!

pigletmania · 15/11/2011 08:14

Yes definitely, the mum won't thank you if her dc catches anything.

? why cant you make a simple decision without asking a load of strangers on the internet?

Familydilemma · 15/11/2011 08:16

I know-but sleep deprivation mucks up my decision making ability Blush

I'd rather someone cancelled than passed it on. Yet a family member used to get stroppy when we cancelled because the kids were ill.

If you're going to be too occupied nursing dc2 and don't want another dc around, then cancel. If you're worried the other mum might object, then ask her!

MenopausalHaze · 15/11/2011 09:10

What a peculiar question - that you even need to ask it is just mental. Whatever next?

Have left as is, but told other mother. If ds has calm day and a sleep will be okay. Just useful to know other opinions on the small stuff of life. Then if I'm being unreasonable at least I know I am!

Okay, I'm mental! But the other mother works and so whilst she obviously wouldn't object to a cancellation, it does have an impact on her.

Yes definitely cancel. I would be furious if my DC went on a playdate and caught a virus from an ill sibling.
