One of my FB friends has just uploaded a pic of one of her dogs dead pups in a little coffin thing. AIBU to think this is very weird behaviour???

I must be in the minority then. I think it's quite sweet. Blush

I'm I the only person who thinks why not ? An apparently sleeping puppy is hardly offensive. I'm not an animal person but I assume it's part of a grieving proscess. I'd hate very deeply if this type of overreaction to a dead puppy stopped people sharing photos of their very precious stillborn babies for instance.

I got an xmas card from my lunatic aunt a couple of years ago, it was actually from her dogs...her recently deceased dogs, along with a photo of them...dead. she's a loon

YANBU.

I dont really get the comparison thea. To be perfectly clear I am not accusing you of putting puppies and babies on a par or anything like that or having a go at you (you know how hard it is to get these things across on the internet).

I just dont really think people would make that connection. If they were going to post a pic of their baby I dont think people thinking the puppy thing was weird would put them off tbh.

Seems a bit attention seeking to me but I dont know the person the OP is talking about. If she is the sort to do this in a genuine way - I suppose there is no reason why she shouldnt.

People do a lot worse.

Personally I think its a bit odd.

Odd but harmless enough I suppose. Why worry?

What SuperblyBilt said.

I hate Failbook.

I don't really see the comparison with people sharing pictures of their stillborn babies. While that would be much more upsetting to see your heart would just go out to the parents who would be going through an absolute devastation. And if posting pictures of the child they have been waiting however long to show everyone helps them then tough shit if anyone finds it offensive imo.
While I'm sure losing a pup is upsetting I just can't view that in the same way.

Just use it to contact family if other modes fail, and I need to send them a message. Mob phone signals here are pretty useless!
