I cant shake this horrible feeling that something bad is going to happen to dd tomorrow.
She is going to London with the rainbows, it's over an hour on a coach.
Aibu or is it normal to feel like this.
It's her 1st trip and shes my bfp.

What are you worried about specifically? Personally I think she'll have a great time and be thrilled with London, it is beautiful!

nooka · 11/11/2011 19:45

If it's her first trip and she is your eldest and only then I can understand why your heart might be in your mouth. But it is irrational.

missismac · 11/11/2011 19:49

YANBU, I felt the same when my pfb went anywhere - I still do & she's 15 now. But, we live in London. It's a beautiful city, she'll have a lovely time & she has to be able to have experiences away from you so that she can develop & grow into the beautiful confident woman you want her to be. Don't worry - we'll look after her Wink

Guitargirl · 11/11/2011 19:53

Is it because she is going on a trip which is an hour away from you on the coach?

Is it because it is London?

If the former YABU and bit irrational

If the latter YABU and also irrational Grin

Lollyheart · 11/11/2011 19:54

I guess it's the journey on the coach that I'm worried about Blush

I know she will have a fab time. She's really looking forward to it.

No it's the icando centre.

Kbear · 11/11/2011 20:01

She will be fine but I understand completely - I've felt the same. ICANDO is at Guide HQ - the coach will park outside and they'll go straight in, safe as houses! The leaders will look after them like they are their own. 1st trip is the worst, you will have headache by the end of day and she will bound in and tell you what a great time she had!

ggirl · 11/11/2011 20:03

I felt the same when dd went on first big trip.
You obvioulsy haven't conveyed your anxiety to your dd if she's very excited and happy to go.
So yanbu but she will be fine. Smile

The first time Wilf went off without me he went for three days and nights when he was nearly seven with the local deaf group! I got into my sisters car and burst into tears. She looked at me and told me to "stop snivelling and blow your nose!!" Hmm

fuzzynavel · 11/11/2011 21:20

whats a bfp?

Lollyheart · 12/11/2011 09:22

Bfp = big fat positive but I should of put pfb + precious first born.

Well she's gone, I'm not going to be able to relax all day.

verytellytubby · 12/11/2011 09:30

She'll be fine. I totally understand your fears though.
