Why so nervous? DP

FivePoundNote · 04/11/2011 15:00

I wanted to buy some pillows. DP works in the supermarket that sells the ones I wanted. He said he'd put some away for me and I could go in today and pick them up.

So I got there and he's acting very nervous, zooms through the store, keeps looking all around him, does his nervous "arm thing twitch" that's a dead give away for "I'm shitting myself here" etc

AIBU to be a little suspect about the nerves provoked by me going into the place he works??

Is he stealing the pillows?

FivePoundNote · 04/11/2011 15:02

LoveBeingAFirework · 04/11/2011 15:02

Maybe he nicked the pillows?

LoveBeingAFirework · 04/11/2011 15:03

Doh

SwearyMary · 04/11/2011 15:03

Perhaps he doesn't work there Grin

caramelwaffle · 04/11/2011 15:05

Yes. Maybe he was sacked a while ago (?)

If not - does he have a good discount?

Perhaps he thought his boss might think he was skiving if he saw his wife there. Or maybe there would have been banter from some of his colleagues about him being tied to your apron strings if the'd seen you there. Or perhaps they are not really allowed to put things to one side for family members and he was nervous his boss would see. Don't know really - perhaps you should ask him.

tearsbeforebreakfast · 04/11/2011 15:06

maybe his coworker girlfriend doesn't know he is married.

AFuckingKnackeredWoman · 04/11/2011 15:07

Maybe he arranged for his other girlfriend to pick up pillows at the same time by mistake?

AnotherEmptyNest · 04/11/2011 15:08

Tearsbeforebreakfast

You got there first!

bentneckwine1 · 04/11/2011 15:08

Or the boss was in a right grumpy mood and making everybody's lives hell today and you DH didn't want to be spotted chatting with you....assuming your DH is not the boss!! [hmmm]

controlpantsandgladrags · 04/11/2011 15:08

Maybe he isn't allowed to put stuff away for you and was worried about getting into trouble. Or he's shagging one of the checkout girls who doesn't know he's married.

FivePoundNote · 04/11/2011 15:14

I've had suspicions about that girl from cooked chickens. Hmmm

Proudnscary · 04/11/2011 15:19

I'd say it was Barbara on aisle 14

FivePoundNote · 04/11/2011 15:23

Could be Adam on fruit and veg.

AFuckingKnackeredWoman · 04/11/2011 15:24

caramelwaffle · 04/11/2011 15:31

Ah. An Adam. Couldn't you come to some kind of...arrangement. Double discount for you...

PomBearAtTheGatesOfDoom · 04/11/2011 15:31

OOOOOOOO My ex BiL worked on the rotisserie chicken ovens in ASDA and he had a torrid affair with a right slapper chavvy bit of rough cleaner and ran away with her. Then she turned out to be a psycho stalker, and he turned out to just be psycho and it was all very messy and nasty exciting for a while and then he went to jail and was so far thank fuck never heard of again... Your DP could be at the top of a slippery slope!

SixStringWidow · 04/11/2011 15:38

I blame those bloody chickens

ThatllDoPig · 04/11/2011 15:44

Whats the arm twitch? Like a one winged chicken?!

SixStringWidow · 04/11/2011 15:47

he was stealing a chicken from the rotisserie.

he had it up his sleeve

Swankyswishing · 04/11/2011 16:03

Nervous arm twitch?? WTF?!

FivePoundNote · 04/11/2011 16:13

He sticks his arm in the air randomly when he's nervous

OP posts:
Ghoulwithadragontattoo · 04/11/2011 17:18

ViviPru · 04/11/2011 17:19
