I've taken unpaid leave for the last 2 shifts of my job. There's been a crossover that has meant my new employers agreed I would start there around my previous shifts.

Would I be unreasonable to not tell them I'm now available on those two days, and have a couple of lovely relaxing days off and hopefully catch up on housework because DP has been doing absolutely everything for the last 3 weeks

Last time I hoovered under the beds was in the two days I had off before starting my current job. I'm guessing it won't be "a couple of relaxing days off".

God no, they don't own you!

Have a couple of days off/catch up on stuff before you start and then go into your new job feeling refreshed.

Yay! Dp has been a star doing all the cooking, cleaning, washing etc Grin I shall spend them scrubbing and sewing, and find the energy to visit my lovely in laws with him
