Me and the Mrs were discussing take out options yesterday and wondered what would be the first Fast Food establishment we should take our unborn child to. She thinks KFC but I don't want to be giving a 6 month old chicken bones

I think it would probably be Burger King because they actively encourage you to "have it your way" so we could get them to leave all that salad muck off.

AIBU to put my foot down about KFC?

OP posts:

She's carrying an unborn 6 month old?

Is that not the shyest baby in the world?

I think you've already had it your way by the sound of it Wink

TheArmadillo · 04/11/2011 12:52

maccy d's clearly. They always have high chairs and their chicken nuggets are perfectly baby hand grasp sized for the BLWers and the mcflurry for those who prefer purees.

No competition

redskyatnight · 04/11/2011 12:53

worraliberty OP is obviously sensibly following the government requirements on not introducing his baby to solids until s/he is 6 months old.

I dunno about KFC, I think the bones would add fibre to baby's diet and you don't want him/her to have issues about only eating sloppy food later in life.

Remember to take an extra large bottle for baby so you can fit the whole litre of coke in for them to drink.

Blacksquirrel · 04/11/2011 12:53

:o at Worraliberty

Have you not heard of popcorn chicken OP?

Pancakeflipper · 04/11/2011 12:54

ummm toughie this. Now I have never had BKing so cannot really judge it. So will just ask the usual MN question of what is wrong with a fruit shoot and a MccyD's?

Or a Greggs sausage roll?

WanderingSheep · 04/11/2011 12:57

YABU
She needs a KFC! Why are you depriving her? She's carrying a 6month old after all Wink

Thanks for making me want a KFC

I already feel sick from a packet of monster munch and dairy milk bar

gordyslovesheep · 04/11/2011 12:59

dominos - liquidised - add some coke to make it sloppy

ShirleyKnot · 04/11/2011 12:59

KFC is always such a crushing disappointment. Of COURSE YANBU

Flisspaps · 04/11/2011 13:00

I think you should drive to all three takeaways, get a selection from all three and have a buffet at home. Problem solved.

Besides, KFC bones would be excellent for teething.

bananamam · 04/11/2011 13:05

Pizza hut surely???

StaceymAloneForver · 04/11/2011 13:08

KFC boneless banquet Grin perfect solution!

confusedpixie · 04/11/2011 13:13

YABU.

Maccy D's surely?!

Heavensmells · 04/11/2011 13:15

Sod it just order a vindaloo. It will be character building!

TheAnnoyingOrange · 04/11/2011 13:16

Why don't you take it to both places and McDonalds aswell? But may I suggest booking a holiday to America and giving it the super size meal. Don't do things by halves - go the whole hog Wink

AbsofCroissant · 04/11/2011 13:17

YABU. Your takeaway choices are clearly too "not MC". Get you and your missus to something more MN appropriate, like Nandos or Gourmet Burger Company.

MrsTerryPratchett · 04/11/2011 13:19

ShirleyKnot you are soo right. I broke 8 YEARS of vegetarianism on KFC. Wasn't worth it. BK is OP so i would go with that.

SausageSmuggler · 04/11/2011 13:20

Wouldn't chicken bones help develop a good strong jaw? KFC I say.

jenfraggle · 04/11/2011 13:21

KFC Crispy Strips FTW

ShirleyKnot · 04/11/2011 13:26

MrsTP - Their chips are shit. The only good thing about the chicken is the skin and their coleslaw is watery.

KFC = SHIT

MrsTerryPratchett · 04/11/2011 13:31

The skin is good but the chicken underneath is rank. And, you are right, the chips are shit.

NO TO KFC, NO TO KFC.

Honeydragon · 04/11/2011 13:35

Greggs and a Fruitshoot

Honeydragon · 04/11/2011 13:37

BTW you posted this in pregnancy too, you will get your ass flamed on their Grin

ShirleyKnot · 04/11/2011 13:38

They should sell buckets of just the skin

MrsTerryPratchett · 04/11/2011 13:41

Mmmmmm skin buckets.

SausageSmuggler · 04/11/2011 13:42

The KFC chips have got better but they're still rubbish. From best to worst for chips it still goes BK, Maccy D's then KFC.
