Fontsnob... you might enjoy this blog... it's one man's standoff against the tyranny that is Hello Kitty

Hello Kitty Hell

I find it quite amusing

FontSnob · 03/11/2011 23:11

Ha! I just chortled loudly at the cake! Great Blog. :)

MumblingAndBloodyRagDoll · 03/11/2011 23:16

Cannot believe the tacky people on here who think it's ok to be rude about somebody's choices for their baby clothing!

How classless!

OP there is nothing wrong with HK things, very good quality and pretty too.

bethelbeth · 03/11/2011 23:19

I think that the joy of Hello Kitty is that it is outrageously tacky.

It was invented to advertise toilet paper. High class that.

I still love it.

FontSnob · 03/11/2011 23:21

I find Hello Kitty rather classless...

bethelbeth · 03/11/2011 23:22

That's because you're boring fontsnob Wink Get back to your helvetica!!!!

FontSnob · 03/11/2011 23:24

Ah Bethelbeth, I'll wager you're a comic sans fan. Grin

FontSnob · 03/11/2011 23:25

Ok, so I was being bitchy deliberately in response to mumbling, I feel a bit bad now. Sorry OP.

FontSnob · 03/11/2011 23:26

And sorry Bethel for suggesting you might like comic sans, that was a really evil thing to suggest.

bethelbeth · 03/11/2011 23:26

How dare you fontsnob! It will never darken my doorstep.

Ever.

I feel dirty.

FontSnob · 03/11/2011 23:28

Eek, I said I was sorry. Go and scrub in the shower, you'll feel better. I won't mention the c word again.

JustRedbin · 03/11/2011 23:28

This is SO last year. I bought all my Hello Kitty stuff over 12 months ago in Italy. Binned now, obviously.

bethelbeth · 03/11/2011 23:29

I'll be watching........ creepy comic sans manically cheerful laughter

FontSnob · 03/11/2011 23:32

Now I feel dirty.

Haven't read all the thread but M & S do some bits in Hello Kitty, saw some near the make up dept the other day.

soandsosmummy · 04/11/2011 08:00

I actually like Hello Kitty Blush though I'd never admit it to DD as she'd use it as a lever to con me into bringing in piles and piles of the stuff.

H&M is probaby the best place to try as has been said above. Also seen baby stuff in BHS before now

soandsosmummy · 04/11/2011 08:04

What about this - its smallest size is 4 months Hello Kitty top

belgo · 04/11/2011 08:04

I like it. They are cute little cats, very harmless, especially in comparison to the playboy bunny.

I've just bought some HK girl's clothes from Sainsbury's.

Rollon2012 · 04/11/2011 10:11

*Cannot believe the tacky people on here who think it's ok to be rude about somebody's choices for their baby clothing!

How classless!* Amen to that!

that top is cute, Yeah I've never seen it that m,uch other than whsmith or toys
r us, hence the topic. I'll have a look in H & M , M& s BHS erm ill browse back through,

The baby isnt called kitty haha although it would be too much to resist Grin
nah I was thinking of trying to make a nappy cake present and thought how sweet it would be to have a hello kitty themed cake :)

(I need an outlet for my sad grown woman love of hello kitty)

There's a website that sells all hello kitty related stuff, including, brilliantly, lots of cake decorating items - such as hello kitty icing toppers for cupcakes.

A HK-mad old school friend sent me a link a while back - I'll see if I can find it and post it here for you

Rollon2012 · 04/11/2011 10:43

toys r us have a lovely baby range of hello kitty.

OveranxiousUnderated · 04/11/2011 10:55

My DD loves Hello Kitty - she has quite a bit of stuff (baby, toddler and older). All of her HK clothes are from H&M or Asda, but if you go onto the Mothercare website they have a HK small rattle/comfort blanket and a few other things. Vtech also do a book/rattle etc. Most websites actually have loads of the stuff - try amazon and play.com. Smile
