to not be bothered with contacting e.on

I moved to another power supplier and gave opening / closing meter readings to both companies. On 8 October e.on sent me a final bill saying they'd take payment on 24th October and I should not cancel direct debit before that I canclled it on 27 October after ensuring payment had gone. I've got their bill.

I've now had a stroppy letter saying they're trying to take further payment for gas and can't so want me to contact them. I spent 20 minutes trying to get through to their call centre and gave up

AIBU if I don't bother trying again? Their terrible customer services are the main reason I moved suppliers.

no , let them write again sending a bill. Do you know how much they say is outstanding?

£96 which is a bit much given they've sent me the final bill and taken that payment already. Am not inclined to make a huge effort they are a pain to deal with
