It sounded like the voice I use when calling in sick when I actually have a hangover.

I am sure it would not have been a real hardship flying first class, even with a sore throat...

Don't watch X factor, but I just want to say, that woman wears the most disgusting clothes ever.

I thought it too, definitely a fake phoning in sick voice. A couple of times she kind of forgot and sounded normal then put the croaky voice on again.

YANBU at ALL. DH and I actually suspect the whole thing is a huge con, she is quitting the show, and the producers are buying time while they figure out what to do and who to replace her with...!

Kelly's accent and saying's make me smile. I find burke irritating too.

I've heard that voice many a time from every single one of our employees when they call our sickness line at work - even if they have have sprained an ankle / broken a finger nail / some other crappy reason for not attending work that has no impact on their voice.

Me too MrsR! It's soooooo transparent and instantly makes me doubt the caller. I NEVER do a dick voice!

I said exactly the same thing when I heard her.

She was probably lying down. That's the best way to make your phoning in sick voice sound more believeable..umm..so I'm told.

She sounded fine on Radio One on Sat morning - she was on Vernon Kays show.

It was fantastic , I wonder if she also put the thermometer in a cup of tea before showing Simon Cowell.

I like Kelly and I hope she dosn't quit.

We were laughing from the moment she spoke. She was so obviously putting it on.

I thought Alexandra Burke was doing ok, until she got all gobby with Louis with the "talk to the hand" motion and the "dot.com" comment... and I went right off the silly little girl then.
