no, go for it!! I want one now!!!

OldGreyWassailTest · 28/10/2011 09:53

You can only have another one if you make me one, too !

DooinMeCleanin · 28/10/2011 09:54

I want one now. Can you cook bacon from frozen? All my bacon is frozen Sad

Orchidskeepdying · 28/10/2011 09:54

would you like ketchup OldGrey?

PureBloodMuggle · 28/10/2011 09:57

Not sure you can cook it from frozen. Maybe in future freeze each slice individually, it might defrost quciker that way

I don't have any bacon in either the freezer nor the fridge.

Want. Bacon. Sandwich.

SausageGoulsAndFruitSpooks · 28/10/2011 09:57

Mmmm no not U at all!

Can you make me one? I'll provide fresh coffee from bean/tea/fresh orange juice! Grin

Icelollycraving · 28/10/2011 11:08

Yanbu. Not a bit. I want one now!

ColdSancerre · 28/10/2011 11:12

YANBU

emsyj · 28/10/2011 11:12

YABU. The second one won't be as good and you will feel a bit sick afterwards and regret the whole episode.

I know this after greedily ordering a second chicken & pesto panini in a cafe after the first one slipped down too easily. Felt horrible after finishing the second one and haven't had one since.

In our house we call it 'pizza eaters' remorse' - that bloated, sicky feeling you get when you have eaten something you really wanted but ultimately shouldn't have had.

NinkyNonker · 28/10/2011 11:39

That would be amazing right now, crispy Bacon with mayo. Yum.

Orchidskeepdying · 28/10/2011 11:43

I didn't have a second one.. and emsyj is right.. but now I want a chicken and pesto panini!! I love them!!!!!!!!!

Might have to get dressed and head to the nearest cafe - 'This Morning' is driving me up the wall any way - those 2shoes are SO annoying!!!

OP posts:
OhYouBadBadGhostie · 28/10/2011 11:44

yum from me too. I feel inspired.....

emsyj · 28/10/2011 11:47

If they have a bit of mozzarella, a few sundried tomatoes and the odd black olive to add to it then YWNBU to have a chicken & pesto panini. And possibly round it off with a piece of tiffin, or an apple crumble cake.

Orchidskeepdying · 28/10/2011 11:56

mmmmmmm that sounds sooo good... I might be a good girl and head to sainsburies and buy the bits to make my own!!! Then I could have 2 in the safety of my own home... hehe

Was just about to post the same as emsyj...somehow you can never re-create the perfection of the first (.......) insert preferred savoury snack. (Wouldn't be a bacon butty for me coz I'm veggie, but totally get the whole 'that was so fab I need to eat it all over again' vibe.

However, someone very wise once said to me 'eating too much interferes with the pleasure of eating', and tis (sadly) very true. That awful bloated, really wish I hadn't done that feeling is horrible, and i don't mean diety related guilt, I mean the physical feeling.

However, the panini question is a whole different ball-game Grin. We should have some kind of slurp, yum, Homer Simpson style drool emoticon, surely?

duvetdayplease · 28/10/2011 12:07

Now this has made me very cross. Toddler just gone to sleep so can't go and buy anything and because I am an utterly shit homemaker I have only got crap things like four bendy carrots, some rice and a crust in the house. Plus a piece of slightly whiffy fish for toddler's lunch.

I have eaten all the fudge I made the other day and there is only one biscuit left.

I send halloween curses to all of you with your frozen bacon and your proper fridges full of actual food!

mumofbumblebea · 28/10/2011 12:49

i just had a bacon sandwich, with a good dollop of brown sauce. it was delicious! my favourite is a bacon, hashbrown and mushroom sandwich, yum!

worraliberty · 28/10/2011 12:52

I've just had bacon, sausage, black pudding, egg and mushrooms...with crusty bread and a cup of strong tea Grin

That should keep me going til tonight Blush

SausageGoulsAndFruitSpooks · 28/10/2011 12:53

No no no. A bacon sandwich has to have ketchup AND Mayo on it!

And no mushrooms in this house please. They are the work of the devil. Bleurg.

SausageGoulsAndFruitSpooks · 28/10/2011 12:53

That last sentence was a total balls up! Blush

WilsonFrickett · 28/10/2011 12:56

I'm was having a bacon sandwich for lunch .

Doo yes you can cook bacon from frozen but it is a PITA getting the slices separated. Better to wrap them indivudually before you put them in the freezer, then you can just cook them. I'd probably fry rather than grill as you want to start a bit gently to make sure they don't burn without cooking in the middle.

RainboweBrite · 28/10/2011 13:07

You can cook Quorn bacon from frozen!

CumpyGrunt · 28/10/2011 13:09

I've just had a crispy bacon & brie sandwich for lunch after reading this thread Grin

onadifferentplanettoday · 28/10/2011 13:12

We have just all had bacon sandwiches too followed by homemade fresh cream chocolate cake Yum!

duvetdayplease · 28/10/2011 13:14

I had pasta and pesto with the bendy carrots thrown in. I do not feel zeitgeist-y and I do not feel satisfied! I'm gonna have the biggest cake known to man this aft to make up for it!
