We have treat-sized packs of Maltesers sitting by the front door for the Halloween beggars rhymers. The rotten weather is keeping the brats at home. I have a nice hot cup of tea beside me. The sweets were calling to me I tell ya!

Would you stand strong or snarf them down like a starving wolf???

Snarf snarf snarf...

MissVerydead · 25/10/2011 21:00

Although it's not Halloween yet. Plenty of time to get some more.

SecretNutellaFix · 25/10/2011 21:02

I would put the fuckers in a cupboard.

The sweets, not the trick or treaters!Grin

Put them down!

Angelico · 25/10/2011 21:02

Excellent thinking MissVerydead! There is indeed time... Grin

We are sitting here eating the Christmas shortbread!! I forgot to put biscuits on the online shop and vampire diaries is about to start (teens) and dd had made a cup of tea for us all, so had to start on the Christmas stash!!

Well, it's not everyday dd makes the tea!

NearlyLeglessEuphemia · 25/10/2011 21:04

YABVVVVU for reminding me that there are Haribos in the cupboard, just when DD has gone to bed ... [hangry]

Angelico · 25/10/2011 21:06

MinnieBloodBar · 25/10/2011 21:09

We've had to buy a third lot of sweets. [hblush]

Angelico · 25/10/2011 21:10

God I love any place where people set the bar this low Grin. Two wee packs of Maltesers - I'm a saint!

Snarf them down - that's one of the few advantages of being a grown-up.

Angelico · 25/10/2011 21:16

Hmmm... maybe I should make it three... Hmm

I've just et the crumbs that fell off DS's Happy Hippo onto the desk Grin

I'm thinking that we won't have any trick or treaters as the new flat is well tucked away - I don't think any kids will find us. So I haven't bought a sweet stash for Monday. Bet I'll be sorry!

Angelico · 27/10/2011 21:40

Just home and the feckers are calling to me again!

Surely it is just quality control? It would be irresponsible and just plain wrong to hand sweets out without trying them first to check they were ok. And then check another pack just to make sure the first wasn't an atypical sample. And then another one in case they had deteriorated over time. So long as you have a sweet left to hand out at halloween then you would not be doing your motherly duties if you didn't check they were ok first.

Given the way h&s madness is running over this country I find it crazy that h&s officials have overlooked this very important part of a mother's duties. It's your duty to eat test those sweets and to do it well.
