To want to scream

soandsosmummy · 24/10/2011 15:26

Its half term. the weather is gorgeous. I want to take DD out on my only full day off.

Instead of which - we've been burgled. They've taken the house keys. I'm sitting in with dd waiting for police and now for lock smith to turn up and change locks. I'm dealing with insurers.

DD is driving me insane complaining about her missed day out (don't blame her)

:(

Oh I'm so sorry to hear that, screm all you want (into a pillow id probably best) you are totally justified. I have been burgled, so know exactly how upsetting it is.

YANBU

Go scream in to a pillow and kick the crap out of a few too.

Why do these f*ckers think it's okay to take what others have? Sorry that you are going through this.

CaptainNancy · 24/10/2011 16:47

Oh- that is so awful for you. What a nightmare- much sympathy to you. Could you do DDs day out at the weekend?

oopslateagain · 24/10/2011 17:10

Magneto · 24/10/2011 17:39

Yanbu hope they catch the bastards. Scream all you want! Sad

colken · 24/10/2011 17:42

Can you explain to your child why you have to stay in? If it's a school holiday, there's always the day after the Police and locksmith have been.

soandsosmummy · 24/10/2011 18:40

Calmed down now. Insurance are being helpful, lock smith was very reassuring and police think it may have been done by a gang operating in the area and that they may have some idea who some of them are.

Sadly working half days for the rest of half term but going to give DD the best treat I can manage in the time tomorrow afternoon to make up for it. Shes been lovely despite the odd sad moan and really kind to me when I broke down in tears (pathetic mummy) she even made police glasses of ribena and passed round biscuits
