We can all dream eh? I have just wasted half the afternoon reading the Poncetastic Christmas thread and planning exactly what I would do if I lived in the sort of lovely house and posh village some of you do. It was a lovely few hours ... made only slightly less lovely by the sound of my drunk neighbour arguing with his wife about the communal bins overflowing ...

(See how I got the competitive 'you were lucky' in there too? Truly I am a pro ...)

Been to Waitrose a couple of times, not rushing back.

Never heard of the White Company.

Slacking9to5 · 21/10/2011 15:32

One reason why I have lots of money is because I don't waste it on overpriced stuff in White Stuff and Waitrose.Grin

usualsuspect · 21/10/2011 15:32

all trying to out middle class each other on that one Grin

Ocado is so lower middle class, darling. Us 'uppers' have Abel & Cole deliveries and source our produce locally and organically from over-priced farmer's markets. Wink

ApocalypseCheeseToastie · 21/10/2011 15:40

BOOTHS is far better than Waitrose.

CogitoErgoSometimes · 21/10/2011 15:42

I won't hear a word against Waitrose. My maid swears by them....

Love the thread and the witty comments. Have a friend whose daughter will only accept clothes for her children from Gap or Monsoon, and as for Mothercare and M & S forget it......and don't even breathe H & M in her hearing. My friend is lovely so don't know why she has such a snobby daughter. My friend thinks it's because her H is a bit posh! Oh yes she also orders from the White Company. Crazy prices even in the sale. I have another friend who gets her gr/kids clothes (and toys) from charity shops and a lot of the stuff she gets is new or nearly new. I buy whatever I think looks nice for my gr/chdrn but not much cus they already have loads of clothes. Oh and sorry I do shop in Waitrose - but not for everything. No I usually buy the essentials at Fortnum & Mason (they will deliver by the way) and the delivery charge is very reasonable.................

My toxic SIL who lives in a horrid little flat and is a secretary has told me on more than one occasion that she would never shop in Asda as it's for , "poor people" Grin

She's a twat, mind.
