Sorry, I know it's the Daily Fail, but my god, what is the world coming to.

Sorry I should have given a warning that the video is very upsetting.

Went on link but just couldn't make myself watch it.

CheeseandPickledOnion · 19/10/2011 15:16

That's horrific.

MrBloomsNursery · 19/10/2011 15:18

Read a bit about it - stopped reading. But couldn't watch the video. It is horrendous.

MelodyPond · 19/10/2011 15:21

Well of course YANBU?! Confused

I really wouldn't watch that video everyone, I watched about two minutes yesterday and felt sick....... There is nothing to be gained from exposing yourself to that horrific sight.

What happened to that poor girl is utterly unbelievable.

MrBloomsNursery · 19/10/2011 15:22

I can imagine. :(

whackamole · 19/10/2011 15:24

I saw that elsewhere, horrified me then, horrifies me now.

FearfulYank · 19/10/2011 15:24

I can't watch the video but the mother's quote breaks my heart:

?I won?t judge them, Qu said of the passers-by. ?Let them make their own judgment. If they are married and have children, they will know. But I bear no grudge and refuse to be disappointed by society. Many kind people have come to help.?

HeresTheScaryThingBooyhoo · 19/10/2011 15:25

there is another thread going about this. i agree it is awful. cant watch the video. but i have read enough to get the gist of what happened. shocking but some posters on teh other thread have explained why this might have happened.

GypsyMoth · 19/10/2011 15:25

There's a long thread on this already

flatbellyfella · 19/10/2011 16:55

I read about this yesterday & could not watch a video of such a horific event without being mentally scared afterwards. So sad.

HecateGoddessOfTheNight · 19/10/2011 17:01

It's a terrible thing. That poor, poor child. I really hope she makes it, although it isn't looking good at all.

People walk past injured child. Nobody wants to help. Sad and I think WHY, why the hell would people do that. HOW could people do that?

And then I read this in the article -

"High-profile law suits have ended with good Samaritans ordered to pay hefty fines to individuals they sought to help. " (from the article)

and I wonder to what extent the two are linked. Sad

KreepyInMind · 19/10/2011 17:02

What is wrong with people, who on earth would walk past an injured child?
Hope there is a place in hell for them all
