He is in Y8.

I have been told to stop it with the petit filous. Sad

So Pom Bears are still cool and petit filous is not?!
Petit filous are still Ok here in Y6, but those Hannah Montana pouches are NOT!
Guess as long as you have some healthy sandwiches and fruit and he eats those, I can't see the harm..... and its probably better than what some of his peers are buying at the chippy school canteen.

LynetteScavo · 17/10/2011 22:13

I'm finding it difficult to keep up with what's cool and what's not.

DH tells me all food must be able to be eaten whilst walking around...sitting down to eat is so year 7. Confused

I have no idea. I put some butterkist type popcorn in DS (7) today, left from film PM yesterday. He came home having barely eaten as some had got on the sandwich?

I give up! What's great one day is boring the next!

I would say YANBU though as I love pombears.

I would also tell him at his age to make his own. (saves thread to laugh at self when DS is 12yo and I'm still making his Wink)

Milliways · 17/10/2011 22:22

My DS is 16 and still takes a frozen frube each day :)

timetosmile · 17/10/2011 22:23

Apparrently I put in 'the wrong kind of cheddar' last week... Confused

BeyondLimitsOfTheLivingDead · 17/10/2011 22:24

I love Bears
And frubes

I am not a schoolchild [hgrin]

banana87 · 17/10/2011 22:24

Pom bears and petit filous are the root of all evil, dontcha know? Right up there with 100% fruit juice. Only really bad parents give those things to their children :)

BeyondLimitsOfTheLivingDead · 17/10/2011 22:33

YABU to not give him jam sandwiches [hwink]

Lisatheonewhoeatsdrytoast · 17/10/2011 22:41

I never knew there was anything wrong with petit filous? Confused

LynetteScavo · 17/10/2011 22:51

Petit Filous are fine for KS1 and 2. KS3 require something far more sophisticated like "cheese shots". Although I've never actually purchased them, for fear of my precious darlings chocking.

YABU. He should be making his own lunch. (Send me the Pom Bears, I'll eat the for him put them in a safe place)

carabos · 17/10/2011 23:02

lynette thank you. I'm not new to MN, just Pom bears! Had no idea what they could be as never come across them (DSs grown up). Don't understand any threads about Peppa or CBeebies either for the same reason Grin.

LynetteScavo · 17/10/2011 23:17

LOL at those saying he should make his own lunch.

That would consist of a nutella sandwich and a pain au chocolate. Washed down with some Lucozade bought on the way to school.

"sniggers"
I sent my Y10 male off with Disney Princess yogurt pouches - but he's uber cool and now everyone wants one!

lookoveryourshoulder · 17/10/2011 23:42

..I'm sure - but I may been mistaken BUT I thought that I saw Halloween Pom Bears in Asda today [hgrin] & also [hshock] - but you may need to search for them...

..personally I love Marmite Crisps...

TheTenantOfWildfellHall · 18/10/2011 07:01

troisgarcons Oh how I envy you and your cool Y10 boy!

Shutupanddrive · 18/10/2011 07:31

Have you seen the new Halloween pombears? Pickled onion flavour yum!

PomBearAtTheGatesOfDoom · 18/10/2011 08:00

I could knock pitifully on the lid of the box and shout "let me out" if it would help but not until I've eaten the rest of the lunch Grin
