Dh loves his Rover more than me.

Dh has a rover 75 which he adores even though it has done nothing since he bought it except eat up hard earned cash and time on repairs (dh does them all himself). It's broken down again today and ice had enough.

He won't even entertain the idea of buying a new car but I will probably have to smack him over the head with the stupid pistons or whatever they are that are lying on the kitchen table. Again.

Aibu to just want a car that is reliable and not a "project"?

And to make things worse he's bought an MG something or other which doesn't run and is now on the drive being useless as his next "project". He hasn't even finished the first one yet!!!!

Is there a support group Thingumy? Can we start one?

I just don't get people who like classic cars no matter how unreliable they are. I suppose if it is a hobby second car you could just about get away with it, but for a main family car it is selfish and impractical.

Give me a reliable car every time - much easier on the pocket, and your sanity!
