To be nosy about MNHQ?

Apologies if this has been asked before but I'm intrigued.

MNHQ, do you have someone whose specific job is to monitor forum topics? Either for the purposes of "mob control" when things get a bit heated or to make a note of topics which you feel should be highlighted in the press/for campaigns etc?

Do you have seperate, "normal" user names and participate on the forums just as any of the rest of us might or are you not allowed to?

What's the best and the worst thing about the job you do, particularly those of you we see on here such as OliviaMN, Justine, Rebecca et al?

Is there an actual HQ with desks and ringing phones?

OliviaMumsnet · 14/10/2011 22:14

The secret service does not comment on procedure.

Damn, you're too quick!

@TheFarSide

Is there an actual HQ with desks and ringing phones?

Secret photo I'm the one leaving my desk on an urgent thread deletion job.

Proudnreallyveryscary · 14/10/2011 22:16

Oi Olivia I saw your interjection re gin on that other thread, I know you are a regular punter in your heart

Vampirecella · 14/10/2011 22:16

Olivia, the gravitas of that message is totally negated by the big fuck off smiley at the end of it.

I bet The SS doesn't grin when they parrot that line....

MNHQ is not far from me,and pass quite near it on the way to Camden sometimes, and I always am tempted to get off the bus and loiter but I look a bit dodgy so will probably be arrested [hwink]

Trills · 14/10/2011 22:18

They do if they are on the phone...

TalcAndTurnips · 14/10/2011 22:18

I am a mole.

I have an ACTUAL PHOTO of MNHQ.

You didn't see me, right?

DogsBeastFiend · 14/10/2011 22:18

OWT?

Hmmm... Olivia... secretive eh? Something to hide? :o

BoscoWillHauntYourDreams · 14/10/2011 22:19

I think there are no Mumsnet members, its just Justine and her buddies arseing around on the net making up usernames.....technically MN has like 4 members....

DogsBeastFiend · 14/10/2011 22:20

Caught you out Olivia! There are men in that photo. I wouldn't have guessed it was a fake otherwise. :o

Not OWT , OTW

Completely different.

aldiwhore · 14/10/2011 22:22

This was the day that Norman visited

Hungrydragon · 14/10/2011 22:22

I'm definitely just me apart from when I'm Bosco.

Trills · 14/10/2011 22:23

There are men. Techs and so forth. Actually do you have an equal opportunities policy?

Do you have any women with Tech after their names, or any men with Mumsnet after their names?

Scootergrrrl · 14/10/2011 22:24

The first rule of MNHQ is that you don't talk about MNHQ.

Vampirecella · 14/10/2011 22:24

Bosco. Intersting you say that. In the start up days, Justine and Carrie have admitted to sock puppeting their posts on the boards to build up posts....

Purplebuns · 14/10/2011 22:25

I am going to suggest something dreadful... You know that awful website so many of you hate? Not Netmums. Facebook! They have actual photos on there including of DarrenMumsnet. [Shock]

They eat a lot of cake.

Trills · 14/10/2011 22:25

Snurk. Just tried to change my name and it said

Sorry, you can't have the word "mumsnet" in your nickname. Please try another.

Well played MNHQ

HowlmoaneeChainClanger · 14/10/2011 22:25

TalcandTurnips Are you trying to suggest that all at MNHQ are dummies? [hgrin].
