Aaarrggghhh
Do politicians really think this makes them sound sincere? Every politician and his dog seem to say it several times in any interview and it is so bloody annoying.
(just watching question time in case you're wondering where the rant came from)

It's French for 'let's lie through our bottoms'.

caramelwaffle · 13/10/2011 22:49

Yanbu.

It screams "now listen here you stupid people..."

UnearthlyGhoulBeastie · 13/10/2011 22:51

It's English for 'look, moron...'.

Let's just be clear about this.

What I am about to say is party line.

It's not worth the actual jeff of breath it's taken up to speak it.

I am but a puppet.

TethHearseEnd · 13/10/2011 22:55

"That's not really the question, the question is..."

Err, no, that was actually the question. Answer it.

TheSteveMilliband · 13/10/2011 22:57

Hoho, maybe they should show their inner b'stard and just say that!

Like Showy says, it's a version of "I'm just about to feed you another lie". On QT tonight everyone except that greasy twat from the Institute For Studies (or wherever, should've paid attention) is running rings round Angela Lansbury. I'm not sure about her haircut though...
