It's my day off, housework can wait, I'm in bed surfing and watching Breakfast tv!

We all need a duvet day every now and then it's all part of the balance. So YANBU and enjoy your downtime Smile

ApocalypseCheeseToastie · 12/10/2011 09:05

I'm in bed.

In fact I go back to bed every morning.

And I don't even leave the house, they get picked up.

Blush
BoscoIsMyLover · 12/10/2011 09:08

Normally I get up bout 15 mins before he is due to be collected Blush but today he has a playdate after school! The other mother is collecting him so I'm going to lie here till bedtime!

BullyBeefBadgers · 12/10/2011 09:11

I've overslept and only just woken up to very cross 5mo DD Blush
Not good mummy behaviour!

ZombiesAtYourCervix · 12/10/2011 09:15

that was my plan.

bloody DD2 has ruined it with her bloody aspergers and school refusal and meltdowns and difficultness (poor DD2 but......)

So instead of going back for a few more hours kip I am drinking very strong coffee and trying notto shout or cry.

Horsemad · 12/10/2011 09:31

Sorry Zombies - hope your day improves.

The flippin' cat has been miaowing for 10 mins, what a diva! Think I'll have to get up and see what she wants.

OP posts:
ZombiesAtYourCervix · 12/10/2011 09:32

she probably wants to share a large mouse with you.

Alouiseg · 12/10/2011 09:37

I'm in bed. With a farting Bulldog. I may get up.

Horsemad · 12/10/2011 10:02

Back, with cat who was lonely... We are now watching 'Homes under the Hammer' and eating chocolate - me, not the cat.

Ripeberry · 12/10/2011 10:48

I need a duvet day, been up since 6am with a bad stomach and have been sick twice Sad. But I've still got to clean the house and do a thousand other things.
Early night tonight.

planetpotty · 12/10/2011 12:37

Ripeberry what are you doing!! Off to bed you could catch the afternoon Jeremy kyle

PowderMum · 12/10/2011 13:47

I'm on enforced rest at the moment following an op and even so am up and dressed before my DC leave for school. Wouldn't dream of going back to bed I just potter around the house doing light jobs then I am trying to catch up on emails and paperwork from years of working full time.

So to me YABU but then I don't know why you are so tired

planetpotty · 12/10/2011 13:49

Powdermum doesn't sound like the "enforced" bit is working too well Smile

My DH had to rest after a back op was a nightmare trying to keep him in bed..... Then along comes a cold and hey presto off to bed Hmm
