Electrical banana? Is that something you get from Ann Summers?

littleacceb · 09/10/2011 22:07

Love "bob", especially when said by Rowan Atkinson.

Cartridge. I sell ink cartridges for a living, and it certainly helps that it's a really good word.

Butt plug. Must stop using this as an insult for the dog/husband before DS learns to talk.

MogTheForgetfulCat · 09/10/2011 22:11

I love the word 'egg' - it's just the best word ever.

troisgarcons · 09/10/2011 22:12

oh yeah and bitch plop, taken from a thread, dying to use it in RL

HengshanRoad · 10/10/2011 03:56

Brouhaha is a good one.

I like slightly archaic words and phrases, e.g. apothecary instead of pharmacy, wireless for radio, etc.

I also like the phrase "to best", as in "he bested his enemies on the pitch".

Megatron · 10/10/2011 07:02

I have a lovely friend who never swears but says 'sugarolly' or 'oh flibbertygip' instead. If anyone else said them I'd want to batter them senseless but she's such a nice person I quite like hearing them now!

ripstheirthroatoutliveupstairs · 10/10/2011 07:19

Bumcakes is good.
Fuck off as far as you can, then when you get there, fuck off a bit more.
Wank shaft and arse piece.
Toss knob, wank stain and nob jockey.
Hengshan, I've a SiL who lives her life like that. She told me she got a muffler for christmas. I thought she meant a car part.
It can become hugely annoying when you are living in Little Dorrit.

RueTheDay · 10/10/2011 07:40

Rue the day,
Mark my words

(have secret ambition to hollow out a volcano and become moustache-twirling super-villain to use said phrases more frequently)

KnockKnockWhosThereIDidAp · 10/10/2011 08:17

'Whooping it up'- Having a jolly good time at a party

'That is well jokes'- I found that rather amusing

'Them's the breaks'- That's life for you, my lad

'Hush your beak'/'Wind your neck in'- Do please be quiet as this matter doesn't concern you

I'm a fan of that lot

DontTellAnyonebut · 10/10/2011 08:30

Happily
Crikey
Motherfucker
The champagne is chilled
Bacon's on.

Trills · 10/10/2011 08:51

YABU

Is a phrase that I like.

Especially when people have not asked if they are being unreasonable.

TheSmallClanger · 10/10/2011 11:15

I dislike most sayings, not sure why.

I like the words scullery, pedal-bin and scuttle quite a lot.
My favourite insult is "knobjockey".

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 10/10/2011 11:22

Wouldn't say it in RL but, from The Thick Of It, 'Fuckety bye!' and 'Come the fuck in or fuck the fuck off.'

I enjoy saying:
'I'm not being rude, but ...'
'of pith and moment' or 'momentous', used sarcastically, e.g. if I forget what I was going to say; I'll say 'I'm sure it was something momentous as well'
'Christ on a bike'
'You're having a laugh'
'outrageous' ? great word

Loads more, just can't think of them.

ReebleBeeble · 10/10/2011 11:30

'Lord love a duck' is one of my all time favourites along with 'thats just not cricket'

TheBride · 10/10/2011 11:42
