Following on from the thread about Mumsnet enemies I was thinking that sometimes I have a bit of verbal with posters on a thread and for all I know I could be talking to them nice as pie on another thread on another day. Not a problem. But sometimes someone expresses seriously horrible views - racism, disablism etc and I think - what I cunt I hope I don't see you again but then I forget their name and could be swapping muffin recipes with them the day after which makes me uncomfortable.
Even better than a spreadsheet I think you should have the option to 'tag' posters so that only you can see it. There could be nice tags too. Not sure how it would work with nam changes tho.

probably wouldn't work To be honest cos actually if they are that offensive that is what the reporting button is for and sometimes you may take a dislike to their post cos it disagrees with you then find them quite reasonable elsewhere so I am more of a fan of going with the flow on the day as we all have off days and react badly at times... unless of course they really are OTT then report. name changes just complicate it all too much which is why it wouldn't work keep thinking I should spreadsheet though just so I could bloody remember folk better for all sorts of reasons.

It wouldn't be allowed, it probably wouldn't work but I agree with the sentiment behind the suggestion.

I used to have a leetle notebook for keeping up with name changes on another forum. It was all a bit sad... as I kept forgetting to update it.
