to get slightly annoyed when OPs disappear?

I quite often scroll through Unanswered Messages to see if there'a anything I can post on that might be of any help to the OP . I find it a bit sad when the OP doesn't post anything afterwards so I have no idea if they saw that someone had answered or not. AIBU to wish that OPs would check the posts they started and acknowledge answers at least once?

YANBU...glad to know its not just me being a thread-killer!

YANBU but.................maybe they read, take the info in and then go and live in the real world!

worraliberty · 04/10/2011 12:26

I think it's rude

If they have the time to start a thread asking for advice, they can surely find time to pop back for a second to say thank you.

I'd crack up if AKMD ignored this thread now Grin

betty - whats this real world you speak off?

LaWeasel · 04/10/2011 12:42

I have done this before accidently... I only realised someone had replied about a month after I started the thread as it had already dropped off Threads I'm On before I saw it. 'twas a bit of a sensitive one and I didn't want to start the conversation again so I left it alone.

(sorry 2 people who responded to that particular post)
