Before I went on maternity I worked a 4 day week, with a minimum 1 day from home and maximum 2 days a week from home. This is because work is in London and I am located in the SW. Under that arrangement, I was therefore either in the office or at clients 2-3 days a week. My request for flexible working arrangement of 3 days, with 1 from home, 2 wherever has been refused. But get this, the COMPROMISE they propose is 3 days in the office/London clients and 1 day from home. This is WORSE than my existing contract. Is this legal? am I missing something? am I being unreasonable to expect some flex?
