AIBU to call myself an absolute twit?

So I'm presently ttc#3, took a test yesterday and stared at it as the colour drained out of the test window and just assumed it was negative! Put it in the box and forgot about it, for some reason I felt the urge to look at it again this morning and there is definitely a really faint pink line.

So is it an evap line or a bfp? Why didn't I just have the patience to wait the full time to check it. Arrrrrggggggghhhhhh! And now I have no more pregnancy tests and no money to buy another one. I am such a twat!

Have you got a pound shop that sells them near you? Asda used to have cheap ones too.

A friend done one recently it tells you in instructions that if you look after 10 minutes to discard any result.

Thank you 2 boys, I didn't realise pound land sold them. When I said I had no money I meant I couldn't really justify spending 10 pounds on something that I can wait a couple of days to be certain that my period wouldn't arrive and then I'd know!

Also please don't instantly jump on the bandwagon about benefits, both dp and myself work and look after our children.

I wouldn't count it as gospel, but the test I took when I conceived in both pregnancies still has lines on it.

One is 3 years 5 months old, the other is nearly 9 months old!

(And the tests I bought were about £3 from Tesco)

Youre a lot less likely to get a evaporation line with a pink dye test than a blue one.

It might sound odd, but if it's early days and you don't want to waste money, go for a more expensive test.

I think I used First Response, the one that actually says 'Pregnant' or 'Not Pregnant', rather than having lines.

I'd bought some cheaper ones, that were inconclusive because it was so early. I was getting a couple of dots, not even a line, in some of the tests and nothing in others.

First Response gave me a very definite 'Pregnant' response at 9pm at night, days before my period was due.

The cheaper tests didn't give me a reliable line for another five days.
