Doctor told me off today for sitting my 3 month old on my knee. She holds her head up but he reckons it is bad for the spine. No one in this crazy ex-Soviet country does it.........is he BU or am I?

Which ex soviet country is it? Just out of interest as I'm Estonian living in the UK but I do visit Estonian chatboards and see such comments about sitting up a lot. I would say sitting with the whole back supported is ok if the baby is not slouching.

bizarre, what are you meant to do, lie her down constantly? If you're holding her it's fine.
