in taking a book to the toddler group

It's so boring. But ds loves it (he's nearly 3 and quite happy to go off and play. Just most of the mums are a bit cliquey and i get bored of all the same chat about schools/house prices/children blah blah blah....

Take it if you want to but you'll look stand offish. I hate toddler groups too but it takes time to make friends with other mothers.

If you genuinely don't care about the other mums and what they think of you then YANBU. As long as you help out with the tidy-up / snacks etc if that's the done thing.

YANBU but you won't make friends either. Some of the boring mums at toddler group become the ones who love a glass of wine or six when we escape for the night.
