I had a really shitty call this morning from someone telling me my FB page was shit ...how bloody nice of them!!

I phoned vodafone and said if i give them the last digits of a number can the confirm, anyway it wasnt the number i thought it might be but he then said hold on a min and then said your last call was from this number .......... I was very shocked that he gave it to me but then they shouldnt be making shitty calls should they.

I know it's silly but i rang the person ( a friend on an old friend) and said it's way out of order and that i really didnt deserve it. What i want to know is shall i give the police a ring? I have a feeling this is just the start of the abuse that im going to get :( I dont deserve to be screamed at down the fucking phone when picking dd2 up from her second day at school.

huh????

Bangtastic · 13/09/2011 13:33

Eh? Someone called your facebook page shit and you're considering giving the police a ring? What's the history with this person?

Block them from your facebook and ask vodafone to block their number from contacting you.

What?

Your facebook page as in your profile, or something else, like a business page?

RedHelenB · 13/09/2011 13:35

Of course you have the right to know who phoned you. But personally I would just ignore them.

switchtvoffdosomelessboring · 13/09/2011 13:36

Jings, have you got something really offensive of your facebook page?

DeepPurple · 13/09/2011 13:37

Someone phoned you and said your face book page is shit so you called them back. Now you are thinking of calling the police? Am missing something?

twag · 13/09/2011 13:37

Oh sorry my business page, not ringing 999 just the local station to make them aware incase i get any further abuse, apprantly they know where i live (which they do ) :( sorry i should have explained that it wasnt just to tell me my FB page was shit. They said alot of nasty things.

I just dont know if ignoring it is the best thing to do?

Your facebook page is shit? What page? And who? Why would they? Confused

Barmix · 13/09/2011 13:38

Really?

I mean, reeeallly?

Arsebook has a lot to answer for these days, I can tell you. What will it be next? "Quick! Call 999! Someone looked at me funny"?

Bangtastic · 13/09/2011 13:38

Ignore it. If they persist in telling you that your facebook page is shit (is it?) then tell them that all contact they are making is being logged and will be passed onto the plod.

ReadyToDrink · 13/09/2011 13:39

But it was the Facebook criticism that cut the deepest?

twag · 13/09/2011 13:40

Sorry there was suppost to be another sentance after the first line.

I'm obviously over thinking things so i shall just forget it.

Do you have a Safer Neighbourhood Team that you could talk to? It might be a good idea to report it to them.

Keep a log of any abuse, including what happened today. If this is the start of some sort of harassment campaign against you then you will need as much info as you can gather about dates and times.

And don't return any of the calls from now on.

ReadyToDrink · 13/09/2011 13:42

If they threatened you & you feel that it may continue, then make a note of it in a diary or something. Then if more things do happen you can report it with something more substantial.

Birdsgottafly · 13/09/2011 13:42

Perhaps threating them with the police will be enough.

If a harassment campaign starts then don't hesitate to go to the police.

It doesn't matter if the with hold their number, the police will find out whoi they are from Vodafone. The same goes, if they set up a fake account on FB and send you messages.

ReadyToDrink · 13/09/2011 13:42

Cross post :)

TakeThisOneHereForAStart · 13/09/2011 13:43

Sorry that should say "It might be a good idea to report it to them if they make any further mad phone calls

twag · 13/09/2011 13:43

I wanted to report it to someone just incase somthing else happened iyswim. I won't be phoning them back again.

More fool you fr

ApocalypseCheeseToastie · 13/09/2011 13:45

Ahem, putting number on there. Take number off and block them.

If you have any proof of threats ie texts etc then go to the police.
