Am seeing lots of posts about what people don't want to see on FB so please tell me what you want to see.

I would like them not to bother reading posts on fb that they are not interested in and to leave everyone else to get on with it really.

Some people need to locate their 'hide' buttons... I see a lot of guff on FB, but I just adjusted my settings (and my friends) - hey presto!

I would like FB to be shut down FOREVER. Thank you

You should definitely:

• Tell everyone about your children's achievements. People love kids, right?
• Update with cryptic messages about how sad you are feeling. It gives your friends a great opportunity to show how much they care.
• Post photo after photo of your child in various poses. Because your DC are the most fabulous and cutest in the whole world.
• Make snidey messages about various ex's new girlfriends. Better out than in, eh? And it might show him how cool you are.
• Update your status at least five times a day to show others how busy you are keeping.
• Slag your boss off. He or she will see it and know that you are taking an interest in work even during the weekends.
• Copy/paste those statuses which tell you to copy/paste. Because let's face it - everyone needs to see those words of wisdom and know how much you care.

It's obligatory to have a profile picture of yourself pouting while taking a crap photo of yourself in the mirror with your cameraphone.

Then see how many different spelling of gorgeous appear.

People who live in the same house but tell each other how much they love one another on FB?
Said same people boast about how much money, time and effort their OH has spent on them.

I post whatever I want on FB, I figure if people dont want to look at it then they wont.

I'd like FB to bounce all status updates that develop along these lines:

Friend of OP: u OK hun?
OP: will text u

If you can't say it all publicly then say nothing.

Also, I'd like people to stop washing their over-emotional linen all over FB and perhaps bring it back to the original concept - a way of making and keeping in contact with people who aren't in the next room or just down the road.

and think 'what have you been upto then?'.

I play the games, the rest mostly passes me by.

"acceptable"? Why are there so many rules about everything. It would be bloody boring I'd we were all the same! Wheres the love? Why does it feel like mn regulars want everyone to be the same! Variety is the spice of life and why does everyone care what others think?

I really need to see that you can't cope without your husband/boyfriend/significant other because he is out at work and you're a workshy scrounger

I really really really need the cryptic "i'm so upset" "whats up" "oh nothing/will text you/will inbox one person but noone else" statuses

I really need to see and hear all about your/your childs gap year in outer mongolia raising yaks and need to see every single photo

I really want to see "great granny died lol xxx"

Oh and those 30 day song challenges and such like. Yes. More please.

Oh and more pictures of injuries, we need to see splinters, spots, boils, burns, scabs, nits, you name it. Yes. Please. I really need to see those things

Facebook is the devil's own way of making you realize just how much you really hate your nearest and dearest and the brain amputated drivel they update their status with.

Facebook has only one tangible benefit: it lets you gloat at how old, fat and bald your lying cheating ex has become without the need to meet said ex and therefore having to engage in small talk. Hence the only acceptable content consists of pictures in which people who used to behave like arses in previous relationships look really shit.
