to have ripped up the carpet

the carpet was filty, and no amount of cleaning was getting rid of the big black marks and the dusty smell.

so today i ripped up the carpet, there is no missing or crack tiles so it look a million times better and smells alot cleaner to.

DH went mad, saying the kids will have to play on a cold floor and it will be freezing in the room.

YANBU. Get a cheap large rug for warmth.

I can't wait to rip up our carpets so YANBU.

We've only got hard floors downstairs and it's better to play on for some things.

It's not cold and it's easier to clean.

you could get a rug or two, some are really cheap so it doesn't matter if you don't keep fro long

If you'd have got a Dirtmaster or similar you'd see carpets are so full of sheit you'd be more worried about the dirt in them that the floor being cold.

just wet on free cycle and someone is giving away a rugs and got an email back saying yes it ok....emailed the person and they are going to drop it off for me, so offered petrol money ( is £10 ok)
