£39 de vere hotel near Oxford. I'm a LP with a 10mo DD. I want to go away for a few days and do nothing. Pool, gardens, wander round the town. I start a PGCE in September and want a few last maternity leave days enjoying time with my DD. Tell me I should book it please?!

hiltontribe · 15/08/2011 08:34

Definitely do it. Take advantage while you can, when you're doing a PGCE and when you are qualified you won't have the time.

Soups · 15/08/2011 08:34

Go :)

EuphemiaMcGonagall · 15/08/2011 08:53

Go - once you start the PGCE, you won't look up for two years so get some relaxation in now!

Newbabynewmum · 15/08/2011 09:40

Cool! Oxford is lovely for wandering around! Christchurch meadow is lovely to walk around or sit and have a picnic by the river there and its free! The natural history museum and pitt rivers is always a hit with kids and again is free with university parks next door and some lovely cafes to chill out in!

Take the most of this time as you will be flat out on the pgce!

whomovedmychocolate · 15/08/2011 09:58

Yes definitely go - that's a bargain. Which one is it exactly?

PinotsKittens · 15/08/2011 10:00

Book 2 rooms and I'll come too Grin

PinotsKittens · 15/08/2011 10:00

freah? fresh! See - need a break!

Newbabynewmum · 15/08/2011 11:04

De vere website > offers > low cost bedroom finder. The Oxford one is near the top although there are lots of different ones. £49 b&b I went for. Seems a good offer (I have tripadvisor-ed it!). Thanks for taking the guilt out of the purchase for me!!

Book it. The next year will be crazy with your PGCE so relax with your child while you can.
