To wonder how to keep up with cleaning.

I know my bum has been stuck to this all day but I got up to a clean house and have had three kids here for the best part of the day. They change between playing upstairs on the Xbox and outside in the plastic pool. My lounge now has grass in it and my kitchen, my clean rugs are no longer clean.

Does anyone else find kids are really messy in the holidays and that it is a loosing battle to keep up with cleaning after them.

I find setting up one's PC next to the washing machine gives an appearance of activity.......

When my kids had a pool in the garden they were only allowed in the kitchen, not allowed to run in and out of different rooms, when the were finished, and dry they could go in the lounge/living room.

Children do not rule the house parents do.

It's easy to keep it clean if you do it once they are then sitting down say in doors, you run the hoover round and mop the floors.

I'd say get them to help u? not as hard as it sounds make it into a game or rewards system? works with my niece the bestt tidier gets most ice cream (always her)

I don't. Place is a tip. it's the holidays I'll clean when they go back to school. As long as the washing is done, dishes get done and kitchen cleaned after food and hoover every few days tis enough for me. But then I'm a lazy cow.

I just try to keep things reasonably ship shape during the school holidays. Once they go back to school I have a proper clean and a marathon session on their rooms. It's a bit of a losing battle for me when they're off school.

I am so with the losing battle crew here.

simple , i am so behind with cleaning that i stopped letting people come round , therefore only myself and those who have made all the mess get to see it !

oh and my friend who's house is alot worse than mine
