To be impressed with the scrap man

We put an old filing cabinet out last night, about 10:30 and the scrap man appeared at 07:15 this morning and took it away (he knocked because I saw him pull up, usually things just disappear).

You can't beat that for service I didn't even have to call him or even leave it on the front for him to see, he spotted it down the side of the house.

It beats his previous record, it took him a whole day to remove our old cast iron bath.

lol i put a washer out front once, 10 mins later the chap knocked and asked if he could take it

I suppose there's danger they'll wander off with something you actually wanted, but if you do want to get rid of something it saves a trip to the tip.
