To make my DC hoover the lawn?

We are having a summer BBQ tomorrow to christen our new BBQ. We had the lawn mowed especially. The kids were playing outside and when I went out they had got the polystyrene blocks out of the box the BBQ came in and crumbled them all over the lawn and garden. They've been out there an hour trying to pick them up but it still looks like it's been snowing.
AIBU if I hand them the hoover and tell them to get on with it?

Yanbu!! Take a picture and show them before and after when they've done it!

If it's nearly bedtime then yes! If not I'd let them carry on doing it manually.

no broom or dustpan and brush? Hmm

Zukiecat...you only mow your lawn for weddings and christenings? Grin

The lawn needed mowing, but I would have probably put it off for a couple of days if we hadn't been having people over. I'm hoping to distract people from the state of the rest of the place...
The handheld hoover worked well.
