True, true - but a ray might sting fatally, like that one did with Steve Irwin. So I'd go with a plaice. Or a turbot.

Just been out - it was a toad - very alive. Just bunged it into the front garden where the beast doesn't go - caught it in the dustpan and held it in with the brush. Pouring small glass of lemoncello to calm nerves.

But I do have access to some nice Bowmore malt that belongs to DH!

Oh I like toads -we used to have a resident one.
Don't lick it though - their skin is poisonous.

Limoncello is calming. Almost bored enought to go to bed and read boroing book.
