I have an appointment for a Brazilian wax at 10am.

I have an early menopause and so my (very light) periods are unpredictable and random.

Yes, you've guessed it ......

Do I try to get away with it or is the only decent thing to do to cancel?

Is it too disgusting to contemplate?

I'm tempted to try to get away with it ..... am I a disgrace?

Can't you wear a tampon and snip the end off so that it's hidden - one of those tiny 'pearl' ones?

Won't the assistant smell the blood?

I think her job is disgusting enough without having to endure that.

I put in a tampon, pushed the string up inside me (sorry) and took a shower and made sure everywhere was clean, as normal

I don't see why wearing a tampon is disgusting. I don't see why waxing is normally disgusting either (?) Maybe not something everyone would want to do, but your waxer does want to presumably, and does it all the time. Female genitalia aren't disgusting, think that's a bit of an odd opinion to be honest...

Why not just call and ask?

Just make sure you trim the string so she doesn't yank it out by mistake

I would at least give the person doing the job the option to say yes or no.

TeelaBrown - I agree - wearing a tampon is not disgusting at all - I didn't mean that. I don't think that my bits are disgusting either - I just wouldn't fancy the job myself, so want to respect those who do without inflicting my period on her.

I just wondered what the general consensus was - that's all.
