Love these and reckon you could get one framed.

ScarletOHaHa · 14/07/2011 21:19

I think YABU to consider giving a friend "ideas" as a wedding gift. Personally I would never talk to you again.

HTH.

Buy a vase tall enough to hold a bottle (or half bottle) of fizz, put bottle in vase, fill surrounding void with wrapped sweeties so you can't see bottle, big bow , no wrapping paper...works a treat, sweet, cheerful, fizzy and useful.

the best wedding present i had was a voucher for an anniversary dinner for mine and dh 1st anniversary.

the gift card, she made herself with a poem she also made up ( really good aswell)

i am really looking forward to it

startail · 14/07/2011 22:48

A toaster? I was given one by the girl who introduced me to DH and 21 years later it's still going strong.Smile

£20 and you don't even get a frame Shock

I looked at that and thought, well, if someone gave me that at least I could put something decent in the frame but ..... Sorry, I think it's pointless, useless and twee.

If you don't know them very well and there's no gift list, then a voucher of some sort is probably the best bet.

ScarletOHaHa · 15/07/2011 09:20

Natters i put the wrong link in, it's the second one. I love the stamps idea.

I got a couple of champagne glasses with our name engraved on them. I liked it. Otherwise a nice bottle of champers.
