to use chrunchy nut cornflakes

Just watching dinner date and one of the meals is pork rolled in cornflakes (egg and flour as well, then pan fried).

Now, I only have chrunchy nut cornflakes in. What do you think? AIBU or not?
DD (22) thinks I am - past history of mega meal disasters due to experimentation.

Not a good idea imo! Crunchy nut cornflakes are incredibly sweet and normal cornflakes aren't.

Thats what my dd said.

Have you not got Rice Krispies ? At least they are a 'plain' flavour ? Smile

agedknees · 14/07/2011 17:44

No, cupboards are bare. It's going to have to be grilled pork then. Mind you, after last nights disaster the plainer the better.

OK, will tell you one disaster story. Was doing a bolognaise in the slow cooker. Something made me put a tin of tuna in the slow cooker as well as mince, sauce, mushrooms etc.

We had chinese takeaway that night!!!!

I thought I was doing a sort of turf and surf dish.

Ah it was fusion cuisine then (putting positive spin on it!!) Wink
I like your culinary maverick style!

I've done this, but with a crunchy topped pasta bake. We had take out that night too, it was just too, too strange!

Oh god my mum used to make dinners like this and call it 'concoction'.

Turkey soup without stock = pearl barley water

Or mince, onions and gravy with drumroll .... Pineapple chunks!
