Just a thank you?

AIBU. I have been Chair of a committee for two years. We have just re elected and I am happy to step down as Chair. It's great new people have come on board and they will do a great job. But I didn't even get a thank you for my time as Chair. I thought I was active and made some significant improvements during my time. Maybe I didn't. But, really a quick thank you wouldn't have hurt?

i work with loads of committees - they do lots of good work, but rarely like each other really :) i think as long as you know you did a good job i wouldnt let their rudeness bother you

fuckers they are

That's unusual. Normally these things are said and recorded in the minutes.

Yanbu. It is very poor form not to thank you for your contributions.

Ah thank you. I just wanted those two words, it was at times stressful, but I was committed to ensuring it all ran smoothly. Maybe they just didn't get what it is like to Chair a committee. Hmmmnn....
