To pray my wet iPad can be rescued?

DS knocked a glass of water over said iPad, I switched it off, intending to dry it out etc, but DS sneaked back over and switched it on again, grr!

Is there any hope of it being saved??

Thanks CT, had already googled that advice, problem is device has been switched back on whilst wet, so that isn't going to work, sob!
