To HATE dancing?!

Was out on Saturday night and everyone was dancing, and I ended up being dragged up to dance too.
I absolutely hate it with a passion. I feel like such an idiot, and really am the worst dancer ever.
Anyone else feel the same or is it just me? As most of my friends I ever go out with can't wait to get onto the dance floor

Glad I'm not alone!
But I'm always made to feel like the dull, boring one, because I won't get up and dance. It's like they think if they drag me onto the dance floor, I'll start to really enjoy it and have fun. But I know I won't, I'm just so self concious about getting up and dancing.
I would really much rather sit there and watch other people dancing

I can't see the appeal in rushing on to the dance floor to then just shuffle from one foot to the other, and moving your arms from side to side a bit. Where's the fun in that? I'd much rather get up and have a good tapdance than all that boring, half-hearted jiggling about.

I love dancing at home, behind closed curtains. But there is no way I would in public. First off my dancing is naff and I know it and don't want to humiliate me or my friends. My family were stunned when we got married and didn't have a disco. Honestly!! DH is the same as me and I am so glad.
