Its my all time favourite! Are you making some?

Ismeyes · 29/06/2011 21:24

Oh yes, any tiramisu I have needs an extra layer....of tiramisu! Yum yum!

SybilBeddows · 29/06/2011 21:27

I've just had one - not a proper one, just one in a plastic pot from Sainsburys. It was nice but there was something missing.... Smile

I love tiramisu. Nigella has a tiramisu layer cake recipe. A faff to make, but whenever I have, that bad boy has rocked the house!

shelfy74 · 29/06/2011 21:34

I so agree, I've often thought that a base of crushed amaretto biscuits would improve a tiramisu.

Sn0wflake · 29/06/2011 21:36

I love it as is myself.

SybilBeddows · 29/06/2011 21:36

a base? would they not go soggy? I was thinking of a topping.

OP posts:
queenmaeve · 29/06/2011 22:43

Oh yes it would have to be as a topping.

tinkertitonk · 30/06/2011 00:14

This is a bit camp, are you all men? I've never known women to carry on about puddings in such a way.

gallicgirl · 30/06/2011 00:16

I always think a gooey chocolate topping would help, but then I think that about most desserts.

Tchootnika · 30/06/2011 00:21

Try toasting some extra Amaretti - use as topping...
