A 'friend' of mine on facebook has scanned a letter that one of his collegues recieved today and put it up on facebook inviting people to comment. The letter was from a guy in his 70s to a sales girl who is apparently much younger than him. It is quite sweet, saying that he thought they had a connection and asking if she could call him for a date. Now I can see you being a little bit taken aback recieving this and would show it to your collegues (probably for a bit of a giggle), but for someboday else to take somebody's private correspondence and paste it onto facebook for people who know neither party seems completely out of order. Am I being U for judging this person for being a heartless wanker?

YANBU - it's not nice to laugh at people like that.

Awomancalledhorse · 29/06/2011 17:55

:( What an arsehole! YANBU

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 29/06/2011 17:55

No, it's spiteful and making fun of the man. If that man is a customer in any way, your 'friend' may find that he's asked to explain his actions. These things have a habit of getting out.

greycircles · 29/06/2011 17:56

Yes, it's mean.

Facebook should be banned anyway.

catgirl1976 · 29/06/2011 17:57

YANBU - heartless wanker is correct

hockeyforjockeys · 29/06/2011 18:03

Glad my first instinct was correct. Seems to have backfired as the only comment reads 'what a legend' (I am going to assume they are talking about the author not the poster!).

Actually now it's just showing up how many other heartless wankers exist in his world, ridiculous number of likes and hahas. Feel like putting on my strongest teaching voice and telling him what I think.

That's really horrible! Would Facebook remove it if it was reported? It must be against some rules!

hockeyforjockeys · 29/06/2011 18:57

Just reported it, however to report it as abusive you have to choose one of the pre-set options, and being degrading and invading a person's privacy unfortunatley is not one of them.

TidyDancer · 29/06/2011 19:09

Oh, that's horrible. What a nasty thing to do. I wonder if the dick that posted it realises he's a bully?

wrongdecade · 29/06/2011 19:10

jan123 · 29/06/2011 19:14
